What ways do you have for taking a break and replenishing yourself? What’s the gap between what you need and what you actually have, and what gets in the way? What do you need to step away from for a true, restorative break (work, the computer, the internet, particular family responsibilities)? Facilitated by Rev. Stephen Ames
Children’s program begins at 9:30 a.m.
Worship service – 10:30 a.m.
Rev. Ames, “Without Mediator or Veil”
Ralph Waldo Emerson, a founder of American Transcendentalism, remains one of the greatest influences on Unitarian Universalism today. In recent months we’ve heard sermons on great Unitarian sermons by William Ellery Channing and Theodore Parker; now Rev. Ames will offer reflections on Emerson’s poetic words singing of the joy of living in direct experience of God, the transcendent dimension of life, “without mediator or veil.”
